Machine Operators

Summary:

Responsible for all activities associated with running designated machine including: setup, operation, cleanup and recommending improvements to operations.

Key Areas of Responsibilities:

Adhere to all Safety Rules and Regulations. Sets up and runs the pre-feeder, feeding corrugate sheets through the machine. Review job tickets, print cards, and quality inspection paperwork with Machine Operator. Reads job order and mounts specified print plates or dies. Fills dye fonts with prescribed inks or dyes. Makes necessary machine adjustments to allow for proper print and die cutting. Monitors box quality including, but not limited to, loose liner, warp, correct size, damage and print. Maximize the utilization of equipment by operating the machinery at the available capacity and speed. Cross trains and assist Helpers, Stackers and Bundlers with job duties on the machine. Complete necessary reports in an accurate and timely manner, including, but not limited to: Production Data, Machine Operational Status, Safety Data, Quality/Waste Data. Communicate with Supervision when Maintenance Work Orders are needed for repairs. Adherence to company policies including attendance. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Competencies:

Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports and correspondence, speak effectively. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure. Ability to correctly measure and read a tape measure. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of RPM and PDE Manufacturing software. Must be computer literate. Experience:
