Job Description
Boxes, LLC was established in St. Louis in 1977. In those 40+ years, Boxes, LLC has become known as an industry leader by providing printed and litho laminated corrugated products including industrial shipping and packaging products, POP displays and signage across the St. Louis area. The Boxes, LLC commitment to hard work, innovation, quality, customer satisfaction and a "can do" attitude has enabled the company to grow to more than 200 employees and a new facility totaling more than 500,000 square feet.
Summary:
Responsible for all activities associated with running designated machine including: setup, operation, cleanup and recommending improvements to operations.Key Areas of Responsibilities:
Adhere to all Safety Rules and Regulations. Sets up and runs the pre-feeder, feeding corrugate sheets through the machine. Review job tickets, print cards, and quality inspection paperwork with Machine Operator. Reads job order and mounts specified print plates or dies. Fills dye fonts with prescribed inks or dyes. Makes necessary machine adjustments to allow for proper print and die cutting. Monitors box quality including, but not limited to, loose liner, warp, correct size, damage and print. Maximize the utilization of equipment by operating the machinery at the available capacity and speed. Cross trains and assist Helpers, Stackers and Bundlers with job duties on the machine. Complete necessary reports in an accurate and timely manner, including, but not limited to: Production Data, Machine Operational Status, Safety Data, Quality/Waste Data. Communicate with Supervision when Maintenance Work Orders are needed for repairs. Adherence to company policies including attendance. Other duties may be assigned as needed.Competencies:
Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports and correspondence, speak effectively. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure. Ability to correctly measure and read a tape measure. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of RPM and PDE Manufacturing software. Must be computer literate. Required Education and/orExperience:
Must have experience working in a manufacturing plant Previous experience in the box or packing industry preferred Manufacturing experience CNC experience HS Diploma or GED required Work Environment and Physical Demands The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; extreme cold; extreme heat and vibration.
