Job Description

Head of Operations / Lead Installer Show Me Christmas Lights Columbia, MO Job Details Temporary | Full-time From $25 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Sales Driver's License Recruiting Business management Process management Full Job Description Hiring for August / September 2026 - March 2027 We're hiring a Director of Operations to own the entire season — crews, scheduling, quality, removal, and the customer experience — so ownership can focus on sales, growth, and marketing. You run the show on the ground. Every installer, every truck, every install, every service call funnels up to you. If a job goes perfectly, it's because you built the system that made it happen. If it doesn't, you own that too. This is the most important hire we'll make as we scale. We pay well, we treat this seat like it matters, and the right person grows with the company as we add crews and revenue. What You'll Own The season's revenue number. You're accountable for hitting our daily and weekly install targets. We think in terms of revenue installed per crew per day — your job is to keep crews productive and on pace to the season goal. Crews and people. Recruit, train, and schedule our seasonal install team (largely college students working around class schedules). Run the crew leads. Build a bench so headcount doesn't collapse mid-season. Quality and the white-glove standard. Our recurring revenue exists because the work is excellent and customers re-sign. You own the standard — color matching, clean installs, no damage, on-time arrival windows. You protect the base that makes this business worth running. Scheduling and routing. Build tight, efficient routes that minimize drive time and maximize installs per day. Speed-to-install is a competitive edge — quotes that close need to get on the calendar and get done fast. Removal, storage, and inventory. This is a recurring model — lights come down in January and go back up next season. You own takedown logistics, storage organization, materials/inventory, and truck and equipment readiness. The customer experience, operationally. Arrival windows honored, service issues fixed fast, the kind of follow-through that turns a customer into a customer-for-life. Operations is retention. Systems and SOPs. As we grow, the business has to run on documented process, not on heroics. You'll build and refine the playbooks that let us add crews without losing quality. A Successful Season Looks Like Crews stay on pace to their daily install targets On-time arrival and low callback/service-issue rates Our recurring customers re-sign because the experience was excellent Who We're Looking For Proven operations, field-service, or crew-management experience — home services, construction, landscaping, install/trades, events, or similar. You've run people and logistics under deadline pressure. A builder, not just a manager. You create schedules, routes, checklists, and systems — and you're comfortable doing the work yourself while you build the team that eventually does it for you. This is a player-coach role at our current size. Calm under a compressed season. Our year is won or lost in about two months. You can run a sprint without the wheels coming off. Quality-obsessed. You sweat the details that make a job look premium, because that's what keeps customers recurring. Tech-comfortable. You can run scheduling, routing, and CRM tools (we use [HighLevel / Jobber / etc.]) and keep the operation organized. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Bonus:
experience scaling a seasonal or recurring-revenue service business. Why This Role You run something real. This isn't a cog job — you own the operation end to end. Recurring revenue means a stable base and a business that compounds, not one that starts from zero every year. Clear growth. We're scaling, and the person who runs operations as we grow is set up to lead a much bigger team. You're trusted, not micromanaged. Ownership wants to hand you the keys to the season and get out of your way.

From $25.00 per hour
