Job Description

ROLE PURPOSE
To oversee machine operations associated with both the bridge saw and saw jet in the stone shop, which includes maintaining equipment according to manufacturers recommendations.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Obtain details on job folder, read, and understand information thoroughly Utilize safe stone handling skills as slabs are positioned on the tables Accurately read and understand shop drawings and job-specific paperwork. Measure, mark, and cut slabs to specifications on shop drawings. Layout slabs for best yield and highest quality product Use an overhead crane to load stone slabs Sawyer must keep machines operating the entire shift Measure final dimensions and compare with paperwork Complete required job check-off sheets Utilize Moraware to complete material Position completed jobs on carts for next phase in the fabrication process Perform weekly, monthly, and yearly equipment maintenance
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Education and experience in operating machinery Applied knowledge in general construction with the ability to read plans/drawings Understanding of internal CMC systems Good interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with teammates and clients Ability to handle varying workloads and perform under pressure
