Job Description
Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Plastic Extrusion Technician to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining plastic extrusion machinery to produce high-quality plastic profiles and sheets. Your expertise will ensure efficient production processes, adherence to safety protocols, and consistent product quality. Duties Set up, operate, and monitor plastic extrusion machines, ensuring optimal performance and product quality. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on extrusion equipment. Conduct dimensional measurements and quality inspections using precision measurement instruments to verify product specifications. Adjust machine settings based on process requirements and engineering troubleshooting feedback to maintain continuous production flow. Handle materials safely using hand tools, forklifts, and materials handling equipment, ensuring proper storage and inventory management. Collaborate with plant manager maintenance, and teams to meet production targets and quality standards. Follow safety protocols diligently while operating industrial equipment. Ability to bend, stand, and lift repeatedly. Qualifications Experience in plastics extrusion or plastics production environment. Mechanical knowledge of industrial equipment and basic mechanical skills using hand tools. Ability to perform precision measurements in machining and quality control using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for machine automation control. Strong understanding of safety protocols related to manufacturing environments; willingness to operate a forklift operation is preferred. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and process adjustments; excellent problem-solving skills for troubleshooting.
