Job Description

About the Role 2nd and 3rd Shift Openings Available! We are seeking a mechanically inclined, hands-on Machine Operator to join our production team. This role operates key bindery equipment including a perfect binding machine and a saddle stitcher to support high quality print finishing. Prior bindery experience is not required. We are looking for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, problem solving ability, and the drive to learn. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, takes initiative, and can step into a leadership mindset when needed. Key Responsibilities Operate, monitor, and maintain perfect binding and saddle stitch machines Set up equipment for production runs with accuracy and efficiency Perform basic troubleshooting and mechanical adjustments to keep machines running smoothly Inspect finished products for quality and consistency Follow production schedules and meet deadlines with minimal supervision Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding production needs or issues Assist with training or guiding others as needed What We Are Looking For Strong mechanical background and comfort working with tools, machinery, or mechanical systems Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks Solid troubleshooting skills and a logical, problem solving mindset Basic math skills including measurements and counts Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities or production needs Reliable, self motivated, and detail oriented Leadership qualities and the ability to support others when needed Why Join Us Opportunity to learn specialized equipment with hands-on training Stable, long-term career path in a growing production environment Supportive team culture with room for advancement Shift differentials may apply for 2nd and 3rd shift roles
