Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Operate steel machines to remove rust/slag and other unwanted properties from metal parts Safely and efficiently use blasting and cleaning techniques in the preparation of surfaces for coating Act in accordance with applicable practices, policies, and procedures, when blasting Must utilize appropriate personal protective equipment when blasting, as directed Must maintain all equipment in good working condition
