Job Description

Position Summary:
Calbee America is seeking a hands-on Extruder Operator to join our high-performing manufacturing team. In this role, you'll be responsible for operating extrusion equipment, cutters, and conveyors to produce high-quality snack products. This includes start-up, shutdown, cleaning, troubleshooting, and ensuring consistent product quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor extruders, cutters, and conveyors to meet production targets Inspect and sanitize equipment prior to use Assemble and disassemble extruder components per SOPs Perform changeovers and line adjustments based on production needs Monitor product quality and adjust equipment as needed Document production data accurately Troubleshoot mechanical issues and escalate as needed Train and support new operators Communicate effectively with the production team to ensure workflow continuity
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required Experience operating extrusion or food manufacturing equipment preferred Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and food safety practices Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook) Excellent communication, teamwork, and attendance
Work Environment:
Manufacturing floor with moderate to loud noise Exposure to heat and moving equipment Some standing, walking, reaching, lifting (up to 50 lbs)
