ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Gallatin Event Rental is a premier full-service event rental company based in Bozeman, MT. We supply tents, furniture, and equipment to some of Southwestern Montana's most prominent events, including PBR, the Gallatin County Fair, MSU events, Sweet Pea Festival, Eagle Mount, GVLT, and a wide range of private weddings and corporate events. We are hiring Seasonal Crew Members and Crew Leads to support our peak season operations from May through October. In these hands-on, field-based roles, you will work as part of a close-knit team delivering and installing event infrastructure throughout the region. All crew are compensated for drive time to and from event sites, with a typical travel radius of up to 1.5 hours from Bozeman. We welcome applicants at all experience levels. No prior experience is required for a Crew Member position — we provide comprehensive on-the-job training from day one. Candidates with leadership, logistics, and trailer towing experience may be considered for a Crew Lead role at a higher rate of pay. Scheduling flexibility is available at the start and end of the season to accommodate academic or ski industry commitments.

AVAILABLE POSITIONS

Crew Member — $21.00 - $23.00 / hour Crew Members are the backbone of every event we support. In this role, you will work alongside teammates to deliver, set up, and break down tents, furniture, and rental equipment at event sites across Southwestern Montana. This is a great fit for motivated individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced outdoor environment. No prior experience necessary. Crew Lead — $24.00 - $27.00 / hour Crew Leads take on an elevated field role, guiding crew members through daily operations, driving company vehicles, towing trailers, and serving as the on-site point of contact for clients and management. Candidates considered for this role will have demonstrated leadership experience, verified trailer towing ability, and a clean driving record. Crew Lead positions are filled based on qualifications — all applicants are welcome to express interest.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

All crew members share the following core responsibilities: Execute the setup and breakdown of tents, tables, chairs, and related event infrastructure on client sites Stage, organize, and prepare rental inventory for delivery and pickup Load and unload trucks, trailers, and client vehicles with care and efficiency Provide professional, courteous assistance to clients on-site Inspect, clean, and maintain rental equipment to ensure quality standards are met Support general warehouse operations, including inventory organization and equipment storage Crew Leads additionally: Direct and assign tasks to crew members throughout the shift, maintaining focus, safety, and efficiency on-site Operate company vehicles and tow trailers safely to and from all event sites Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for clients, ensuring a professional and seamless experience Communicate job site updates, crew needs, and any issues to management in a timely manner

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

All applicants should demonstrate the following: A team-first attitude and a genuine commitment to doing the job well Strong situational awareness and the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-moving environment Comfort working with a variety of hand and power tools Physical ability to lift 40+ lbs. unassisted; heavier loads managed with team support and equipment Willingness to learn foundational construction and rigging methods Clear, professional communication skills with both teammates and clients A valid driver's license and an acceptably clean driving record To be considered for a Crew Lead position, candidates must also have: Demonstrated leadership experience in a field, labor, construction, or event setting Verified experience safely towing trailers A clean driving record

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Crew Member:

$21.00 - $23.00 per hour, commensurate with experience

Crew Lead:

$24.00 - $27.00 per hour, based on qualifications and demonstrated leadership ability Full compensation for all drive time to and from event sites Paid, structured on-the-job training — no prior experience necessary for Crew Member roles Flexible scheduling at the beginning and end of the season Collaborative team culture with consistent management support
