General Production Worker Job Description We are seeking dedicated General Production Workers to operate specialized production machinery safely and efficiently in support of advanced textile and aerospace composite manufacturing. This position involves working with engineered, 3D, and Helical Fabric for aerospace applications. Responsibilities Operate production equipment to produce products in accordance with safety, quality, and company goals. Run the Autoweaver, a proprietary machine used exclusively in the preform area, with provided training. Complete machine setup following machine and style specifications. Perform on-cycle product inspections and document findings. Follow verbal and written instructions to produce assigned products. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Escalate product discrepancies, equipment malfunctions, or safety issues to management. Wear required
PPE:
steel-toe shoes, earplugs, and eyewear. Work in a carbon-fiber production environment with elevated noise levels. Essential Skills 1+ year of machine operating experience. Ability to read, write, and speak English for safety, documentation, and ITAR compliance. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. Detail-oriented for quality checks and identifying machine issues. Ability to escalate maintenance issues when the machine goes down. US citizenship required for ITAR/export-controlled aerospace work. Physical capability to lift 50 lbs and stand for the full shift. Dexterity, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Several years of machine operating experience. Background in textiles, weaving, or composite materials. Experience in aerospace or regulated manufacturing environments. Strong mechanical aptitude or troubleshooting skills. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a temperature-controlled facility with LED lighting. The carbon-fiber production environment can be dusty, necessitating the use of PPE. Operators are required to stand for the entire shift and adhere to physical demands such as lifting 50 lbs, climbing, balancing, kneeling, and crouching. Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception. Team consists largely of Burmese-speaking employees, emphasizing the need for English-speaking operators for effective communication, documentation, and compliance. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Belmont, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
