The daily activities will include duties such as operating and maintaining machines.
Role and Responsibilities:
  • Sets up and operates machine to insert hardware into sheet metal and apply silkscreens as specified by work order, drawings, templates, or layout by performing the following duties.
  • Performs daily preventative maintenance on machine according to schedule provided by production manager.
  • Selects and mounts insertion tools including punches and dies into machine.
  • Loads material into machine and actuates stroke to insert hardware.
  • Runs first piece sample and inspect using calipers.
  • Monitors production operation of machine and checks parts for conformance to drawing according to schedule provided by Quality Manager.
  • Unloads assembled parts from machine, identify and move to designated area.
  • Completes documentation required on Work Order.

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and brief memos. Ability to read, understand and follow MieTrak Work Orders.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to work with both English and Metric numeric systems and convert easily between the two systems.
  • Ability to construct and understand statistical process control charts.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills including MieTrak Kiosk.
  • Must be able to workday and/or afternoon shifts with some weekend overtime required.
  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand.
The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 5 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
