Machine Operator - TTARP

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Accept materials for each assigned jobs, review and evaluate prior to beginning. Reads job specifications (job traveler) to determine machine adjustments, material requirements and to fully understand process prior to beginning each operation. Fills out sequence at every operation completed. Positions work piece against stops or aligns layout marks with die or blade. Activate machine and obtain first run work piece, inspect part and verify dimensional tolerances before continuing to run. Selects and sets speed and feed of machine according to type of operation and specified material and finish. Follow-up with team lead to verify any questions if necessary. Observes machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunction. Completes first piece and last piece comparisons throughout the run. Perform operation to acceptable quality standards, pack/stack/mark parts if required and transports finished work pieces. Follow all safety policies and procedures. Accurately complete all documentation as required to complete each job. Performs minor machine maintenance such as oiling machines, dies, or work pieces. Performs housekeeping duties around work center to avoid slips, trips, and falls.
