Conover, NC Schedule:
Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM-3:30 PM; Friday, 6:00 AM-10:00 AM. Overtime as required. Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable individual to operate Gerber Z and/or Taurus cutting machines used in processing fabric and leather for furniture production. This role is essential to ensuring precision and quality in material preparation, directly supporting our manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities Load fabric or leather rolls onto cutting machines. Inspect materials for flaws prior to initiating cutting programs. Select and run appropriate computer programs to cut patterns per production tickets. Perform additional tasks as assigned to support production flow. Qualifications Ability to read and write in English. Proficient in reading a ruler and interpreting production tickets. Capable of operating machine-specific computer programs accurately. Physically able to bend, stoop, push/pull, and lift up to 50 lbs consistently. Strong attention to detail and communication skills. Team-oriented with a positive attitude and ability to work independently. Reliable transportation and availability for weekend and overtime work. Must wear required PPE (e.g., safety glasses, closed-toe/heel shoes). Must adhere to all safety policies and procedures. Visual acuity requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Work Environment Climate-controlled furniture manufacturing facility with concrete flooring.
