Regular Shift:
2nd shift, 3:00 PM-11:30 PM Position Overview Seeking candidates for an Assembly Operator I position at its Fairview, NC facility. The company manufactures relays and switches for the aerospace industry. The Assembly Operator I is responsible for assembling components according to work instructions, drawings, and quality standards. This position may require the use of microscopes, small hand tools, fixtures, calipers, gages, and other measuring devices. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, willing to learn, and able to work effectively as part of a team. All employees are responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area and following TE Connectivity's environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures. Responsibilities Assemble components according to drawings, work instructions, and department procedures. Inspect completed work using quality standards and work instructions. Conduct pull tests as required for specific operations. Measure components using calipers, gages, and other measuring devices. Inspect products according to prints and specifications. Complete required paperwork to maintain product traceability. Troubleshoot equipment and perform minor repairs when needed. Maintain general housekeeping and organization of the work area. Follow company, department, and safety policies and procedures. Perform additional work-related duties as assigned. Qualifications and Requirements High school diploma or GED preferred. At least one year of manufacturing experience preferred. Basic computer skills preferred. Good communication skills. Ability to interpret product blueprints preferred. Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities. Experience using measuring devices, such as gages and calipers, preferred. Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed to support production goals. Ability to move materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to remain in a stationary position for approximately 75% of the workday. Ability to operate machinery. Ability to move between work zones. Ability to read and understand written instructions in English. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
