This position is responsible for accurately selecting, measuring, marking, and cutting materials used in furniture manufacturing while maintaining quality and production standards. The ideal candidate will have experience working with fabrics and leather and possess strong attention to detail in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Job Duties:
Review job information and select the appropriate fabric or leather materials for production. Identify and select the correct pattern templates based on product specifications. Lay out and trace patterns onto materials for seat and back components. Cut materials accurately using scissors, electric cutting tools, and related equipment. Ensure cut materials match specifications and quality requirements. Attach and organize job tickets with completed materials for production tracking. Transfer completed materials to the sewing department for the next stage of production. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. Follow production schedules and company procedures to meet daily goals.
Job Requirements:
Previous cutting experience within the furniture manufacturing industry required. Experience working with fabrics, leather, and pattern templates required. Ability to use scissors, electric cutters, and related cutting tools safely and efficiently. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Dependable with strong organizational skills and work habits.
