7pm-7am, 4 on 4 off

Pay Range:

Starting pay $21.50/hr, Top pay $27.80/hr.

Position Summary:

Timken is seeking a dedicated and skilled Metallurgical Attendant to join our Metallurgical team. In this role you will perform metallurgical checks for hardness and case depth, set up and calibrate various gauges. This role requires attention to detail, adnce to safety and quality standards and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Essential Responsibilities:

Checks materials for hardness using Rockwell Hardness Tester.

Prepares samples for testing andpleting sample testings.

Set up and calibrate gauges according to specifications.

Perform routine inspections and measurements of product to ensurepliance with quality standards.

Troubleshoots gauges, gauging equipment and machine parts for cause of improper operation using indicators, micrometers, and hand tools.

Occasionally perform minor repairs and adjustments to gauging equipment.

Collaborate with team members and management to achieve production goals.

Follows all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Maintain a clean andanized work area.

Basic Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED.

18 years of age or older.

Must be eligible to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
  • Experience as a Metallurgical Attendant or similar role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Mechanical aptitude and understanding of metallurgy.
  • Ability to read and interpret specifications, acceptance criteria and engineered drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset.
  • Effectivemunication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
