Job Overview:

The Machine Operator at Lyon Metal Roofing's Jamesville, NC location is a pivotal role responsible for operating machinery to ensure efficient production of metal roofing products. Reporting to the Plant Lead, this position requires adherence to Lyon Metal Roofing's core values and a proactive approach to cross-training and cross-operation across various equipment within the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Machine Operation:

• Operate machinery according to standard operating procedures to produce metal roofing products efficiently and safely. 2.

• Maintenance:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. 3.

• Quality Control:

• Monitor product quality throughout the production process, conducting visual inspections and making adjustments as needed to maintain quality standards. 4.

• Safety Compliance:

• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while operating machinery, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safe work practices. 5.

• Cross-Training:

• Participate in cross-training initiatives to learn and perform tasks across multiple machines and production processes. 6.

• Team Collaboration:

• Work closely with colleagues and the Plant Lead to coordinate production activities, troubleshoot issues, and optimize workflow. 7.

• Continuous Improvement:

• Record production data, including output quantities, downtime, and quality issues, accurately and timely. 9.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in machine operation or manufacturing environment preferred. Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
