Job Description

IDEAL Fastener is a U.S. zipper manufacturer. We need a production worker for our dye house to run continuous and batch wet-processing of zipper tape and related narrow fabrics—scour, dye, rinse, and dry. This is hands-on plant work. You will load and unload material, tend machines, mix and handle chemicals per recipe, keep lots identified, and help manage quality. Training is on the job.
What you will do:
Load zipper tape / narrow fabric onto dye, scour, wash, and dry equipment; thread ends; start and stop machines Follow written recipes and work orders (color, chemical amounts, time, temperature) Watch the line for breaks, tangles, uneven color, leaks, or machine faults; stop and call a lead when something is off Keep tags, lot numbers, and color standards with the work Take samples to QC when required; hold or rework lots as directed Clean tanks, pads, floors, and filters; keep chemical drums labeled and staged Follow PPE, lockout, chemical handling, and spill procedures Record production, chemical use, and downtime on paper or shop-floor system Help with other dye-house and plant tasks as assigned What we need: Able to work a production shift in a hot, wet, chemical environment Comfortable lifting, standing, and moving all shift (typical 25-50 lb regularly; occasional heavier with help) Can read work orders, recipes, and safety labels in English Reliable attendance High school diploma or GED preferred, not required Prior dye house, textile wet process, laundry, chemical plant, or machine-tending experience is a plus—not required Physical and work conditions: Standing and walking most of the shift Heat, steam, humidity, and wet floors
