7AM-4:00PM Company Overview This facility manufactures temporary fencing systems, welded wire panels, pedestrian barriers, and perimeter security products. Production involves galvanized steel tubing, wire mesh panels, automated welding systems, punch presses, and roll forming equipment. Position Summary Seeking experienced machine operators with hands on experience in metal manufacturing environments. This role supports high volume production of steel fencing panels and related components using automated and semi automated fabrication equipment.
Core Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor metal fabrication equipment including but not limited to Tube mills Roll formers Punch presses CNC wire straightening and cutting machines Automated welding cells or robotic weld stations Perform machine changeovers including tooling swaps, die adjustments, and setup verification Load raw steel tubing, coils, or wire stock into machinery safely and efficiently Set machine parameters such as feed rate, length, cut tolerance, and weld timing based on production orders Use precision measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and gauges to verify dimensional accuracy Inspect weld quality, panel squareness, hole alignment, and finish consistency Document production counts and scrap in ERP or scanning system Identify mechanical issues such as misfeeds, dull tooling, alignment problems, and escalate when necessary Assist with preventative maintenance including lubrication, cleaning, and basic mechanical adjustments Follow lockout tagout procedures during maintenance or troubleshooting Work alongside material handlers and forklift operators to maintain steady material flow com138 Nesco Resource provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
