Job Title Bag Machine Operator Position Location Thomasville, NC Pay/hours for position DOE Requirements of position Must comply with background check and drug test We are seeking an experienced Bag Machine Operator to operate and maintain bag-making equipment. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with square-bottom bags and zipper applications, ensuring high-quality production, efficiency, and adherence to safety standards. Key Responsibilities Set up, operate, and monitor bag-making machines to produce finished bags according to specifications Run machines producing square-bottom bags and bags with zipper closures Perform machine adjustments, changeovers, and basic troubleshooting Inspect finished products to ensure quality, accuracy, and consistency Monitor production output and minimize waste Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures Perform routine maintenance and report mechanical issues as needed Maintain a clean and organized work area Work closely with supervisors and team members to meet production goals Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience operating industrial bag-making machinery Proven experience with square-bottom bag production Proven experience installing and running zipper applications Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Ability to read job tickets, specifications, and measurements Attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to stand for long periods and lift required materials as needed Reliable attendance and punctuality Preferred Qualifications Experience in flexible packaging or plastic bag manufacturing Prior experience with high-speed production environments Basic maintenance or technical training The JobSquad Solutions Team is made up of experts around the country.
