01/2026 Description Working in Truss Manufacturing Plant building floor and roof trusses.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assembling pre-cut lumber components into trusses and/or wall panels. 2. Material handling of lumber, steel plates, and other building materials. 3. Banding metal plates 4. Follows all company safety procedures and actively reports unsafe conditions. Recommend improvements to safety practices. 5. Assist in training new employees on safe and proper building procedures. 6. Safely load and unload materials from trailers using proper lifting techniques and equipment.

Safety Responsibilities:

• Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
• Recognize hazards including pinch points, moving equipment, heavy material handling, noise exposure, and airborne debris.
• Properly wear and maintain required PPE at all times including steel-toed boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, and gloves.
• Use safe lifting techniques and request assistance or team lifting when required.
• Immediately report injuries, unsafe conditions, and near-miss incidents.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings and exercise stop-work authority if unsafe conditions exist.
• Participate in safety training and daily stretch and flex activities.
• Follow machine guarding and equipment safety rules at all times. Competencies
• Knowledge of company products, production processes and product standards
• Skilled in use of all tools (hammers, nailers, drills, tape measures) and equipment, including presses, used for building trusses.
• Motivated self-starter and problem solver.
• Good verbal skills and work ethic.
• Ability to work both independently and as a team member Minimum Requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Must be dependable.
• 1 year experience performing and coordinating construction manufacturing activities, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Truss manufacturing experience is not required but a plus. Work Environment/Physical Activity
• Work is performed within a shop environment, subject to temperature variations, mechanical parts, increased noise levels and dust.
• Must be able to lift and carry 35-60 pounds frequently and up to 90 pounds occasionally.
• Job tasks involve frequent bending, stooping, climbing, kneeling, lifting, pulling and pushing.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
• Must be able to safely operate shop equipment and work around moving machinery while following all safety procedures.
• Repetitive motion and material handling are required; safe body mechanics must be used at all times.

$16.50 - $20.00 per hour
