Laser Operator

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Fiber Laser Operator to run and maintain our Amada Ensis Fiber Laser (3015 AJ 3k). The ideal candidate has experience in sheet metal fabrication, understands laser cutting processes, and takes pride in producing high-quality parts with efficiency and precision. Key Responsibilities Operate and monitor the Amada Ensis fiber laser Load and unload sheet material safely and efficiently Set up jobs according to work orders and nesting programs Inspect cut parts for quality, accuracy, and edge finish Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning Monitor consumables (nozzles, lenses, assist gas, grease points, etc.) Troubleshoot minor machine or cutting issues Maintain a clean and organized work area Follow all safety procedures and company policies Operators will also be responsible for packaging finished orders. Packaging procedure will vary according to size, shape and weight of finished product. Qualifications Previous experience operating a fiber laser cutting machine (Amada preferred) Basis knowledge of sheet metal types and thicknesses Understanding of laser cutting parameters (speed, power, gas, focus) Forklift experience preferred, our loading system is primarily forklift based. Strong attention to detail and quality control Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods Preferred Experience Experience with Amada software/nesting programs Knowledge of preventive maintenance for fiber lasers Experience in a sheet metal fabrication environment Training opportunities are available and will depend on experience. 1st and 2nd shift hours available. Start and end times may vary according to job. Certain jobs will require overtime. Compensation & benefit details will be discussed during the interview process.
