Job Description
Approved Sheet Metal is growing rapidly and looking for motivated team members to join our expanding 2nd shift manufacturing team in Hudson, NH. We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Amada Fiber Laser Operator who takes pride in producing high-quality work in a fast-paced custom sheet metal fabrication environment. This position plays a critical role in supporting prototype and short-run production projects for customers across a wide range of industries. This is a 2nd shift position with regular hours of 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM , with overtime opportunities available. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate Amada Fiber Laser equipment efficiently and safely Adjust machine parameters to optimize cut quality, speed, and overall performance Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and geometric tolerances Perform first-piece inspections and monitor production quality throughout runs Identify and troubleshoot cutting or material issues as they arise Maintain accurate part quality and consistency in a high-mix manufacturing environment Work collaboratively with programmers, estimators, and production leadership Keep machines and work areas clean, organized, and safe at all times Contribute ideas for process improvements, waste reduction, and increased efficiency Qualifications Experience setting up and operating Amada Fiber Laser machines preferred Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes Ability to read manufacturing prints and understand GD&T Experience using measuring and inspection tools Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment Positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic Why Join Approved Sheet Metal?
