Woodshop Machine Operator Milton, NH | Full-Time | 1st & 2nd Shift Opportunities $20.00-$26.00/hour based on experience

Employment is contingent upon successfully completing a pre-employment drug screening, which includes testing for THC. Work With Your Hands. Learn Specialized Equipment. Index Packaging is looking for a Woodshop Machine Operator to join our Milton Woodshop team. In this role, you'll help produce custom wooden packaging by operating equipment such as panel saws, CNC equipment, band saws, and glue equipment. You'll also prepare materials, organize hardware, build jigs, and help keep production moving. You do not need to be an experienced CNC machinist or programmer. We're looking for someone who is mechanically inclined, comfortable working with tools and equipment, and willing to learn. Experience in woodworking, carpentry, construction, manufacturing, machine operation, or other hands-on work is a plus.
What You'll Do:
Set up and operate woodshop production equipment Operate panel saws, CNC equipment, band saws, and glue equipment Read tape measures, drawings, cut lists, and basic job specifications Measure and prepare materials accurately Build production jigs using plywood and lumber Pull and organize hardware and materials for jobs Perform basic shop math using fractions and decimals Inspect materials and finished work for quality and accuracy Keep jobs, materials, and work areas organized Work with supervisors and other team members to keep production moving Maintain a clean and safe work area
What We're Looking For:
Dependable and ready to learn Comfortable working with tools, machinery, and equipment Ability to read or learn to read a tape measure accurately Basic math skills Organized and able to follow job specifications Comfortable working independently and as part of a team Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs. and team lift heavier materials Must be at least 18 years old due to the manufacturing environment and equipment used Experience in woodworking, carpentry, construction, manufacturing, machine operation, CNC equipment, or other hands-on work is helpful.
