Job Description

The Assembly Group Leader oversees the day-to-day operation of the assembly areas including stamping, solder and SMT, mechanical assembly, outlining, beadline/encapsulation, conformal coat, and is responsible for ensuring that all cell members complete their assigned work with speed and accuracy.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Assign work to individual assemblers, and ensure adherence to all applicable process specifications, prints, and quality/production standards. Prioritize, organize and direct workflow in the cell in order to meet scheduled completion dates and revenue goals Work with the engineering group to develop processes that improve yield and reduce scrap/rework. Conduct cross training within the cell to ensure sufficient coverage across all equipment and processes. Effectively communicate with other departments to coordinate the movement of product across cells. Promote a positive atmosphere within the work cell with an emphasis on teamwork and cooperation. Ensure compliance with department specific safety rules and Amphenol administrative policies. Use the MCN database to document required changes to processes, routes, and drawings. Maintain proper inventories of any processing tools or materials that are used in the work cell. Maintain cycle counting and other processes to manage integrity of all stockroom inventories. Maintain a positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, vendors, co-workers and management. This position may require overtime and weekends. May be required to cross train in other departments. Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
Requirements:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Proven leadership abilities, prior group leader or coordinator experience. Ability to work standing for extended periods of time and able to lift up to 25 lbs. safely. Must have excellent interpersonal, communication, team-building and organization skills. Basic computer experience a plus - Microsoft Office-Outlook/Word/Excel. Strong print reading skills Current IPC-A-610 and/or
J-STD-001
certification preferred. Technical training a plus. Lean/ Six Sigma certification a plus. Amphenol offers a competitive salary and benefits.
