Laser Operator

Job Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC laser machines to cut, etch, or pierce metals. Interpret blueprints, production orders, and specs to meet dimensions and tolerances. Plan and layout cutting sequence, referring to drawings and blueprints. Requires aligning, fitting and/or rework pieces that fail inspection. Select and install correct lenses, adjust machine to accommodate materials. Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, or other tools to ensure accuracy. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Experience operating a Laser or similar metal-cutting machine. Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. Measuring tools experience, including calipers and micrometers. Work in a standing position for up to 6 hours. Lift up to 40 pounds with or without assistance, bend, twist and reach. Ability to grip, twist wrist and tighten hands.
