Job Description
Job Summary Yespac Inc., a PET plastic packaging manufacturer, is hiring a Plastics Production Operator / Technician to support daily production operations. This role supports PET packaging production, including thermoforming, extrusion support, material preparation, machine support, quality checks, packing, labeling, regrind handling, and production records. The ideal candidate is reliable, mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities
- Support daily PET plastic packaging production operations, including thermoforming, extrusion support, packing, labeling, and production-floor organization.
- Operate or assist with production machinery, startups, shutdowns, material changes, and basic changeovers as assigned.
- Keep machines supplied with proper raw materials, rolls, boxes, labels, pallets, and packaging supplies.
- Monitor product quality during production and report defects or process issues immediately.
- Perform basic visual inspections for forming defects, cracking, trimming issues, contamination, stacking problems, labeling errors, and packaging defects.
- Help track production output, downtime, scrap, material usage, regrind, and product changes accurately.
- Support proper handling of PET material, skeleton regrind, finished goods and packaging supplies.
- Follow work orders, production instructions, labels, lot-control requirements, and quality standards.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe throughout the shift.
- Follow all company safety rules, PPE requirements, and supervisor instructions. Requirements
- Prior manufacturing, machine operation, or plastics production experience .
- Basic mechanical understanding and comfort working around production machines.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions carefully.
- Ability to complete basic production records accurately.
- Good attention to detail and willingness to report problems quickly.
- Reliable attendance, punctuality, and ability to work as part of a production team.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, and work on the production floor for extended periods.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Most have experienced as a machine operator and mechanic background. Experience
- Plastics manufacturing, thermoforming, extrusion or printing experience.
- Machine operator or production technician experience.
- Material handling, regrind handling, quality inspection, packing, labeling, or production-record experience.
- Experience using tape measures, calipers, scales, or basic production measuring tools.
- Forklift or pallet jack experience is mandatory.
