Job Description

Panel Saw cutter Description and Primary responsibilities a. After training period, must fully understand capabilities of panel saw. b. You will be given "Pick" orders to have large sheets cut in to any number of sizes or quantities. Must be able to program all sizes and combinations in to the saw. Cut pattern diagrams will be provided for more complicated cuts. c. Ensure quality of cut parts by ensuring parts are cut consistently and to standard stated by order. Be able to adjust cutting speed on the fly to ensure quality. d. Must identify if changes need to be made to cutting so that the material is used more efficiently e. Learn our bin/rack cataloging system so you can retrieve material on your own. f. Must be able to pack finished parts according to the requirement dictated by order. Job benefits/pay 1. Starting Pay is $21.50/hr+ at 40 hr/week work schedule. Pay may be more if there is previous experience with panel saws or cutting plastic. Start Time is subject to change. Overtime is available and periodic, but not guaranteed. 2. After hire and probationary period, union membership will begin. 3. Union will provide health benefits. 4. Union guarantees yearly pay increases yearly as per contract. What we are looking for i. Someone who can work on their own and be dependable. ii. Has good math skills and can read/use a tape measure, caliper and other basic measuring equipment. Math test will be given. iii. Someone who is friendly, with an agreeable personality who works hard. iv. Someone who has exceptional attendance and follows instructions well. Very important. v. Someone who is dependable who will stay with us. vi. Must be able to communicate well with supervisors. vii. A background in fabrication, wood working, and production is a plus.
