Job Description
Hiring a Packaging Supervisor in Westampton, NJ! The Packaging Supervisor leads daily packaging operations in a high-speed manufacturing environment, maximizing the capabilities of people and machinery while maintaining quality that meets customer expectations. This role provides hands-on leadership, training, and mentorship to packaging team members, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant production in line with FDA and GMP standards.

3pm to 11pm, Monday to Friday (Will train on 1st shift to start, 7am to 3pm) Salary range is from $70,000 to $80,000 based on experience
Description:
Manage daily packaging operations, including production line setup, workflow coordination, and line changeovers to meet production schedules. Ensure all packaged products meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards, including FDA and GMP requirements. Hire, train, schedule, and evaluate packaging employees to maintain high levels of productivity, quality, and safety. Provide hands-on leadership on the production floor, actively engaging in operations and supporting team members. Monitor packaging equipment performance, troubleshoot operational issues, clear jams, and perform basic maintenance as needed. Coordinate with maintenance to schedule and complete repairs and ensure minimal downtime on packaging lines. Accurately complete and maintain production, inventory, and labor tracking records. Review production schedules with the Supply Chain team and make adjustments to improve efficiency and service levels. Review custom jobs for accuracy and ensure correct setup and execution on the packaging lines. Drive efficiency improvements and deliver waste reduction targets across packaging operations. Perform paper testing on inbound raw materials to verify quality and suitability for production. Oversee two packaging lines, including moving machines and parts for setup and changeovers based on job requirements.
Qualifications/Skills:
3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or packaging environment in a leadership role. High School Diploma required. Prior supervisory experience in a production, manufacturing, or packaging setting is heavily preferred. Hands-on, mechanically inclined approach with the ability to understand and work with packaging machinery. Ability to learn and use packaging machinery and inventory management systems. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively manage teams and collaborate with other departments. Proven ability to drive productivity, quality, and efficiency in a high-speed manufacturing environment. Ability to coordinate multiple tasks, lines, and priorities to meet production schedules.
