Responsibilities Set up and operate production machines according to work instructions, specifications, and safety procedures. Monitor machine performance and product output, making adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency. Troubleshoot basic machine and process issues, escalating complex problems to appropriate personnel when necessary. Document production data, including measurements, counts, and inspection results, in an accurate and timely manner. Lubricate machines, fixtures, and related equipment as required to maintain proper operation. Maintain a clean and organized work area, following housekeeping and safety guidelines. Follow all established safety rules, including proper use of hand tools, measuring devices, and personal protective equipment. Essential Skills 1-2 years of experience in a production process, preferably in the metals industry. High School Diploma or GED. Proven ability to operate production and manufacturing machines safely and effectively. Proficiency in using micrometers, gauges, calipers, templates, rulers, and tape measures for precise measurement. Experience with inspection processes to verify dimensions, tolerances, and overall product quality. Hands-on experience with hand tools commonly used in production environments. Basic troubleshooting skills for identifying and resolving routine machine or process issues. Ability to read and understand measurements, dimensions, and tolerances. Capability to document data accurately and maintain production and inspection records. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working in a metals production environment. Familiarity with general production workflows and quality control practices. Comfort working with various measuring instruments and inspection tools. Ability to follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures.
