Buncher Operator / Machine Operator

Full‑time, In‑Person Job Summary This position operates on a rotating 12‑hour shift schedule every four months. The Buncher Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining machinery used in the production and bundling of wire products. This role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. Duties Machine Operation & Production Operate and monitor bunching machines to assemble products into organized bundles according to specifications. Perform routine mechanical checks and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime. Use sewing machines or sewing techniques when needed to secure or reinforce product bundles. Assist with packaging operations by preparing bundles for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and documentation. Quality Control Conduct quality inspections throughout the bundling process to ensure consistency and adherence to standards. Verify product type, measurements, and specifications during production. Report defects, inconsistencies, or equipment issues promptly. Material Handling Load, unload, and move materials using forklifts or pallet jacks. Transport finished bundles to designated warehouse or staging areas. Support warehouse operations as needed. Safety & Housekeeping Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Follow all safety and environmental procedures. Conduct regular equipment inspections and perform basic maintenance. Continuous Improvement Support lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying opportunities for process improvement and waste reduction. Collaborate with team members to meet production goals while maintaining high-quality standards. Experience & Qualifications Prior experience in manufacturing or industrial environments highly preferred. Machine operator or buncher operator experience strongly preferred. Wire industry experience is a plus. Familiarity with quality inspection processes and material handling techniques. Mechanical knowledge related to machine operation, troubleshooting, and basic maintenance. Experience with sewing machines or sewing tasks is beneficial. Forklift or pallet jack experience preferred.
