Maintains and operates punch press.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Operates punch presses observing standard safe work practices while producing quality parts. Willingness to work and follow instructions. Must have a cooperative attitude toward co-workers and supervisors. Report immediately all suspicious and hazardous conditions to a supervisor. Preform in process inspections to maintain quality. Notifies lead or Supervisor with any machine or process challenges. Lifts, loads, sorts, and moves materials, supplies, and finished products between storage and work areas, using push-cart, hoist, or dolly. Records production data on paper or in computer. Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations. Understand and observe all safety guidelines and assure quality and safety by complying with all appropriate CB policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate the following competencies: Ability to perform shop math functions. To include addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Ability to use measuring equipment, including micrometers and calipers. Good vision is required for this position. Be detail oriented. Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Minimum of high school education or General Education Diploma (GED) 1 year of machinist or equivalent experience preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving of lightweight and heavy materials. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance, as required. Sitting and/or standing 8 hours daily is a repeated requirement. Use of hand/fingers continuously through shift to manipulate tools, materials, etc. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Regularly required to sit or stand for the length of shift. Also, to bend and reach when moving material.
