Job Description

The Wood Nailer is responsible for installing and securing lumber to steel joists during the manufacturing process. This role involves using hand and power tools, positioning lumber, drilling fasteners, and assisting with material handling and bundling finished products. The Wood Nailer works closely with team members to ensure accurate placement of materials, product quality, and safe production flow.
Key Responsibilities:
Position and secure wood nailers on steel joists according to specifications. Operate crane controls to lift, move, and position joists safely. Load, align, and inspect lumber for proper fit and placement. Use drills, clamps, hammers, and other tools to fasten materials. Verify lumber alignment and identify gaps or quality concerns. Assist with moving, stacking, and bundling finished joists for storage and shipment. Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all housekeeping standards. Communicate effectively with team members during lifting, cutting, and production operations. Adhere to all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and material-handling practices.
Qualifications:
Ability to perform physically demanding work in a manufacturing environment. Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and crane equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to follow work instructions, safety procedures, and team communication protocols. Willingness to work collaboratively in a fast-paced production setting.
