Bindery Operator -
Cutter Focus Summary:
The primary function of the Bindery Operator is to operate and maintain binder equipment to meet the demands of our daily schedule. An ideal candidate must have previous experience in the printing industry and show attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced production facility.
Responsibilities:
Set-up, calibrate, and operate Cutting equipment. Change blades as required Operate other equipment in support of the bindery department. Complete non-machinable work by hand as required. Demonstrate reliability through attendance and punctuality. Follow all company and department safety regulations and procedures. Keep work area clean, organized and free of hazards. Report any unsafe or hazardous conditions. Interact with other departments and employees routinely. Serve as a resource to others in the department and company in the resolution of complex problems, issues and improved methodologies. Other duties may be assigned. All duties and tasks are designed to meet customer expectations and established company quality and performance standards. Skills/Competencies Time Management Organizational Skills Attention to
Detail Mechanical Troubleshooting Qualifications/Requirements:
A solid understanding of cutter functionality and constraints. Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, job tickets, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; able to write routine reports and correspondence; able to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Experience/Education:
2+ years in the printing and/or mailing industry is preferred. High School or equivalent degree An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
