family of companies has an exciting opportunity to join their team as a Manufacturing Operator in Arcade, NY! This is a weekend opportunity, working Friday through Monday, with both day and night shift options available.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate extruder and mash mixing equipment following safety and GMP guidelines. Meet or exceed all product quality standards. Complete operation and mixing reports accurately and on time. Clean equipment and work areas as assigned to maintain sanitation. Prevent contamination by properly setting turnheads and ensuring bins are clean before use. Monitor equipment condition and report maintenance needs. Assist with dumping birdseed as needed. Adjust operations as needed to maintain product integrity. Follow production schedules and sequencing procedures, including flushing and clean-outs. Handle and load micro-ingredients safely, including lifting up to 55 lbs. to a height of at least 4 feet. Maintain clean, organized ingredient storage areas and follow FIFO practices. Perform scheduled cleaning, servicing, and quality assurance tests. Keep production running efficiently to support downstream operations. Maintain accurate logs and records of mixing activities and samples. Other duties as assigned by Plant Management.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements. Good communication skills. Understanding of feed manufacturing and willingness to learn and grow. Basic computer knowledge. Understanding of feed mill equipment and layout. Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures. Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen. Ability to lift a minimum of 55 lbs. from floor to working height as job requires.
STARTING WAGE
