Job Description
A Taste of What You'll Do Join GALLO as a Packaging Technician 2 and contribute to a collaborative production team focused on safety, quality, and operational excellence. In this hands-on role, you will operate assigned machine centers and support bottling production while helping care for, maintain, and sanitize equipment and facilities. You will safely operate equipment such as case packers, labelers, and palletizers; complete production reporting and quality checks; and help maintain a clean, organized, and Food Safety-compliant work area. Your attention to detail and sense of urgency will support workplace safety, product quality, and production goals. You will also contribute to continuous improvement, interact with HMI control technology, enter information into production and quality systems, and share your knowledge by helping train others on procedures and assigned tasks. What You'll Need High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 2 years' experience in beverage production, manufacturing, or operations. Must be able to repetitively lift and uncase glass cases onto a conveyer belt, up to 50 lbs. Must be able to regularly lift, carry, or move up to 50 lbs. Required to work any assigned shift (day, swing, graveyard, 5x8, 4x10); required to work weekends and overtime when necessary. Skilled in reading, comprehending, interpreting and executing simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Basic knowledge of data entry into production/quality systems Required to comply with company GMP policies. Skilled in writing simple correspondence. Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing using whole numbers. Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description. Required to be 18 years or older. How You'll Stand Out High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 3 years' experience in beverage production, manufacturing, or operations. Experience operating a forklift. Experience with Warehouse Management Systems.
