Job Title:
Machine Operator Job Description The Machine Operator performs a variety of physical tasks to support daily production operations. This role involves operating machinery, handling materials, assisting skilled workers, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. You work on a Monday-Friday schedule from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with occasional Saturdays as needed, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently, accurately, and safely. Responsibilities Operate production machinery and equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Perform a wide range of physical labor tasks, including packaging, stacking, lifting, and moving materials. Assist with site preparation and daily production tasks to keep operations running smoothly. Follow instructions from supervisors and line leads, and collaborate effectively as part of a production team. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times. Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and workplace safety standards, including proper use of PPE. Support other departments or projects as assigned to meet production goals. Monitor materials and product flow and report any issues or safety concerns promptly. Essential Skills Experience with machine operation in a production or warehouse environment is strongly preferred. Proficiency in material handling, including lifting, moving, and stacking materials safely. Ability to perform packaging and stacking tasks accurately and efficiently. Strong understanding of workplace safety compliance and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Ability to follow directions carefully and work independently or as part of a team. Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to meeting production schedules. Physical ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods. Comfort working in various environmental conditions, including exposure to noise and strong odors. Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Previous general labor or warehouse experience is a plus but not required. Willingness to support different departments and adapt to changing production needs. Comfort with using basic production tools and equipment. The environment involves exposure to chemicals with strong odors, continuous noise, and varying temperature and environmental conditions. You regularly perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, walking, bending, and repetitive motions for extended periods. Personal protective equipment (PPE), including steel toe shoes, a bump cap, long pants, and long sleeves, is required to ensure safety. The workspace is organized and safety-focused, with an expectation that you maintain a clean and orderly area while operating machinery and handling materials. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Mcdonough, GA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
