Monday•Friday, 6:00 AM•2:30 PM (Over Time may be required)
Pay:
$22•$23/hour
Summary:
Our client in Glens Falls, NY is seeking a Extrusion Press Operator who will be responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring extrusion press equipment to produce high-quality products that meet production specifications. This hands-on role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety while working with industrial manufacturing equipment. You'll play an important role in maintaining production efficiency and ensuring consistent product quality.
Responsibilities:
The Extrusion Press Operator duties include, but not limited to: Set up, operate, and monitor extrusion press equipment according to production specifications. Monitor production processes to ensure product quality and efficient machine performance. Inspect finished products using measuring tools, gauges, and other quality inspection equipment. Make machine adjustments as needed to maintain quality standards and optimize production. Perform cutting, finishing, and basic preventative maintenance on production equipment. Safely transport raw materials and finished products using overhead cranes and forklifts (training provided as needed). Accurately complete production records and maintain required documentation. Follow all safety procedures and manufacturing standards while maintaining a clean and organized work area. Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production goals and deadlines.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn Strong work ethic, reliability, and attendance Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety Manufacturing experience preferred, but not required Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to work around high-temperature equipment #
