Job Overview A&Z Pharmaceutical Inc. is seeking an experienced Packaging Mechanic to support our manufacturing operations. This position is ideal for someone with experience maintaining and troubleshooting pharmaceutical packaging equipment who can quickly contribute to our production team. The Packaging Mechanic will be responsible for setting up, maintaining, adjusting, and troubleshooting packaging equipment to ensure efficient, safe, and compliant production.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up, adjust, and maintain packaging lines for production runs.
Operate and troubleshoot equipment including:
Tablet fillers Bottle unscramblers Cappers Cotton insertion machines (Cottoners) Desiccant feeders Check weighers Metal detectors Labelers Perform equipment changeovers and line setup. Troubleshoot mechanical and operational issues to minimize downtime. Make routine equipment adjustments during production. Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs. Ensure all work complies with cGMP regulations, SOPs, and company safety standards. Maintain accurate documentation as required. Communicate equipment issues and production updates with supervisors and production personnel. Support production goals while maintaining quality and safety standards. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED preferred. Previous experience as a Packaging Mechanic in a pharmaceutical, or related manufacturing environment. Experience setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting automated packaging equipment. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods. Knowledge of cGMP, SOP, and safety standard regulations is strongly preferred. Compensation $22.00
