Job Description:
The Sputter Target Bond Operator is responsible for the assembly and bonding of sputter targets to backing plates in preparation for physical vapor deposition. You will play a critical part in ensuring product quality, dimensional accuracy, andpliance with technical specifications through precise bonding, surface preparations, and inspection activities. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Drive positive consumer experience through technical support via phone & email. Assemble and bond sputter targets to backing plates using approved bonding processes and procedures. Perform shot blasting, grit, polishing, and surface preparation operations to ensure proper bonding conditions. and verify base layers prior to spray or bonding processes as required. Measure bonded targets using precision measuring tools and verifypliance to technical drawings and specifications. Identify nonconforming conditions, escalate issues promptly, and support corrective actions. Follow all safety, quality, work instruction, and housekeeping requirements. Candidates must meet the following requirements to be considered: Technical degree, vocational training in mechanics, electromechanics, manufacturing, or at least 2 years of related experience Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, work instructions, and specifications Experience using precision measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, gauges) Basicputer skills for data entry and MES documentation Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift and handle materials up to [weight limit, e.g., 50 lbs with or without amodation
