Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Laser Table Operator to join our fabrication team. In this role, you will support the primary operator in setting up, running, and maintaining our
TRUMPF 2030
Laser Table . This is a full-time, weekday position offering an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience with industry-leading laser cutting machinery.
Key Responsibilities Machine Support:
Assist with loading raw sheets onto the
TRUMPF 2030
laser bed and unloading finished parts.
Material Handling:
Stage materials for upcoming jobs using forklifts, cranes, or manual lifting.
Quality Control:
Inspect finished parts for clean cuts, burrs, and dimensional accuracy using calipers or tape measures.
Part Sorting:
Deburr, sort, label, and organize finished parts for subsequent production stages.
Maintenance:
Perform routine machine cleanouts, remove slag/scrap metal, and maintain a safe workspace.
Documentation:
Read, process and file job sheets, material certs, etc.
Qualifications & Skills Experience:
Previous metal fabrication or CNC machine experience is a strong plus (direct experience with TRUMPF machinery is highly valued).
Technical Skills:
Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, or tape measures accurately.
Physical Stamina:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
Safety Mindset:
Strict adherence to workshop safety protocols, including wearing PPE.
Attributes:
Reliable attendance, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn.
Schedule & Compensation Hours:
Full-time, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM.
Pay Rate:
Starts at $18.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
