Production Operator
  • Rome, NY Full Time, Temp to Hire 1st Shift, 7:00am-3:30pm, Mon
  • Fri 2nd Shift 3:00pm-11:30pm, Mon
  • Fri $16.
50 on 1st shift + 10% shift differential for 2nd shift
JOB SUMMARY
The Production Operator I is responsible for performing manual duties to process and complete product by operating equipment to mix, form, and assemble metals and chemicals for distribution to customers. Work is primarily directed and performed under close or general supervision.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
(COMPETENCIES): Observe all safety and security requirements Operate machines and other equipment for product processing, which may include any of the following: assembly, chemical additions, extrusion, and packaging functions May work with a variety of metals to melt and create casts may also work with a variety of chemicals to fabricate final products Follow written procedures and work instructions Read and interpret drawings and diagrams with assistance, as needed Complete required documentation to track work, record scrap, and maintain the accuracy of completed parts and inventory Uphold the standards necessary to maintain our business certifications and to maintain good quality standards and practices associated with them Sustain a steady work pace and follow a schedule Perform rework as needed Work with support tools, such as mics, gauges, and unique testing equipment Produce quality product with minimal scrap Attend training as needed or assigned Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); two years of verifiable work experience may be considered in lieu of education or successful 6 months or less in Production Operator Trainee role Good oral and written communication skills; English proficiency desired Basic math skills and computer literacy Basic organizational skills Provide own source of transportation for any local/day travel, including travel between corporation facilities The posted salary range reflects just one component of our total rewards package.
