Paint Department Associate 2nd shift

HDM Hydraulics is seeking Paint Department Team Members to assist with the daily production out puts on 2nd shift (2pm to 10:30pm Monday

• Friday).

Responsibilities will include but not limited to prepping cylinders, mixing primer/paint, cleaning cylinders, removing cylinders from line, packaging, ensuring product shipped is as paperwork stated and loading cylinders on trucks.

Job Responsibilities:

Plans work from specifications communicated by the customer as to shipment container type. Removes newly painted cylinders from the paint line. Transports cylinder to packing container, and if applicable, drops the cylinder into a plastic bag as per customer specification. Places completed cylinder in segregated shipment container or on pallet and arranges to ensure even weight distribution. Using a circular saw, cuts pieces of wood stock to appropriate lengths to use in securing packages to pallets or cylinders to pallets. Secures shipping container or cylinder to pallet using shrink wrap, pieces of wood stock, and metal banding. Affixes appropriate shipping labels to shipping containers and/or pallets. Using a pallet jack moves packaged material to dock area to load onto trucks or to holding area to await pickup. Able to lift up to 40 lbs.

Be able to work individually with minimal supervision as a contributing member of a team; be a self starter; pay attention to detail and be quality oriented; able to read a standard blueprint; able to use hand and power tools; have basic shop math skills; and the ability to follow safety procedures. !
