Machine Operator - 1st or 2nd shift

First Shift Hours:

6am - 4:30pm, M-TH.

Second Shift Hours:

4:30pm - 3am, M-TH.

Summary:

To operate machinery and tools in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with production standards. Essential Duties & Responsibilities includes the following: Operates production equipment to produce products in accordance with production requirements and standards. Produces assigned products in accordance with verbal and written instructions. Completes equipment set-up's in accordance with customer specifications and quality procedures. Inspects parts and documents findings on appropriate paperwork as needed. Inspects equipment prior to use to verify equipment is in good working order. Completes all required job documentation. Maintains work areas in a clean, orderly and safe manner to include returning tools to designated areas daily. Adheres to established policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations. Notifies lead of product discrepancies, equipment malfunctions and/or personal injuries. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Ability:

• Basic knowledge of machine operation and maintenance procedures
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Hand-eye coordination
• Attention to detail
• Ability to read, understand and follow safety procedures
• Basic math skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to identify and troubleshoot machine malfunctions
• Ability to use hand and power tools
• Required to stand for long periods of time
• Hand-eye coordination
• May frequently involve some repetitive motions
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
• May also engage in frequent and repetitive bending, lifting, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling of parts and part containers
