Job Description

Laser Operator Compensation, Shift, & Location Details Pay Rate:
$18.00 to $23.00/hour (depending on experience) (1st Shift) Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:00

Experience:
1+ years of experience in a metal fabrication or HVAC manufacturing environment. Are you a detail-oriented maker who thrives in a high-tech shop environment? You aren't just pushing buttons—you are the first step in a complex manufacturing chain. You will transform raw sheets of steel into the precision components that power skyscrapers, hospitals, and industrial plants.
Key Responsibilities:
Machine Operation:
Set up and operate high-powered CNC laser cutting systems (Fiber or CO2) for a variety of metal gauges.
Material Handling:
Load and unload large-format metal sheets using forklifts or overhead cranes, ensuring safe and efficient material flow.
Quality Verification:
Perform "first-part" inspections using calipers, micrometers, and tape measures to ensure dimensions match technical drawings.
Part Processing:
De-tab, sort, and organize cut parts by job number to keep downstream fabrication departments running smoothly.
Preventative Maintenance:
Conduct daily machine "checks" including nozzle cleaning, lens inspection, and assist with assist-gas cylinder swap-outs.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate logs of material usage and job completion to assist with inventory tracking. Why This Role is
