Job Description

We are Elyria & Hodge Foundry, a mid-size company in Elyria, Ohio specializing in iron castings. We supply castings for the global markets of mining, power generation, gas compression and heavy industrial equipment and are recognized amongst countless peers and customers as the undisputed "go to" source for heavy section large castings and highly engineered complex castings. A core finishe r cleans, assembles, finishes and washes core to prepare cores for production mold making. 2nd shift starts at 4:30pm, may have to train on 1st shift for 2-4 weeks. Duties Prepare the core for finishing by removing core fins and any other Perform Baume test on all alcohol wash prior to utilizing wash. Perform flow coating and swabbing as per procedure Perform other duties as required. Skills High school graduate or GED preferred Able to read and write Knowledge of machines and tools, including their uses and maintenance. Knowledge of materials, methods and the tools involved in the construction of the mold. Manual Dexterity

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT
Handling and Moving Objects
  • Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning and moving materials. Controlling Machines and Processes
  • Using either control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate machines or processes.
Inspecting Equipment, Structures or Material to identify the cause of errors or other problem s or defects Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Pay:
From $17.00 per hour
