Warehouse Inventory Cage Assistant / 1st Shift (6am to 2:30pm-Mon thru Fri) Multilink - 2.5 Elyria, OH Job Details Full-time $16 an hour 7 hours ago Qualifications Mechanical blueprint interpretation Measuring tapes Blueprint specification interpretation Basic math Full Job Description This position is responsible for handling materials such as sub-assemblies and hardware for orders daily for assigned departments ensuring product is organized and picked to correct quantity, length, shape, and orientation according to customer and/or product requirements. Key Job Responsibilities Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory. Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders. Maintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies. Documents materials and supplies disposition by recording inventory delivered and location of. Ensure proper packing, labeling, and handling of finished goods for preparing shipments to customers. Builds and assembles products to customer specifications as needed. Report problems or concerns with quality, processes, equipment, materials, and labor to department lead/supervisor. Report and document basic material, production, and quality control issues. Participate in equipment preventative maintenance at the operator level. Must be willing to learn and operate/assemble other equipment/parts. Perform daily maintenance to assigned equipment/work center to keep in proper working order. Has the ability to read blueprints to ascertain correct specifications and perform in-process inspections. Safely move material using forklift and/or pallet jack. Cleans and maintains an orderly work area using the 5S procedure set up. Assist other individuals in the area when needed. Communicates effectively with other workers to direct personal workflow. Promotes teamwork, effective communication, and adherence to company policies, process, and procedures. All other duties assigned to you by management. Education and Experience H.S. Diploma or equivalent may be required. Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required. Must be able to read and understand blueprints, tape measure, calipers, and other shop drawing aids. Demonstrated ability to effectively implement or respond to change. Understanding and support Company policies and procedures. Safety conscious behavior. Excellent attendance. Ability to work with various types of material handling constraints with guidance. Physical Requirements Lift, carry, push and or pull 1 - 50 lbs. frequently. Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, twist/turn, grasp and reach overhead and outward frequently. Sit, stand, and walk for 1 - 10 hours per day. Close mental and visual attention required, coordinating manual dexterity with mental and visual attention for sustained periods of time. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen. Work Site Environment Ability to work in a 55 - 85-degree Fahrenheit work environment.
Payrate:
$16.00 + Benefits Education and Experience H.S. Diploma or equivalent may be required. Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required.
