Be responsible for assembling pipe orders (single sticks or bundles) and maintaining organized work supplies. Be responsible for following safety precautions when fabricating, cutting, assembling, stacking, and shipping pipe. Be responsible for operating powered industrial equipment in compliance with OSHA guidelines and procedures. Be responsible for setting up and maintaining machines used for pipe fabrication. Be responsible for measuring, recording, and adding random pipe lengths accurately. Be responsible for measuring and cutting pipe using band saws or torches. Be responsible for threading and beveling pipe using Landis machines. Be responsible for inspecting and maintaining forklift equipment. This is a full time, Contract opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
6-8 months machinery, band saws, automatic welding machines, mechanical background Use and understand tape measures. Use of Gauges for quality checks Strong in sorting/shifting pipe ranging from ½" to 10". 3-6-month forklift experience
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
Good oral and written communication skills. Strong math skills for calculating product quantities. Knowledge of safe work practices in the pipe yard.
Pay Rate:
$19.00 - $20.00 per hour. Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc. Qualified candidates should
