Tapping Machine Operator - 2nd Shift

Second 1:00pm-11:30pm

Pay Rate:

$19.00-22.00 based on experience Great opportunity in a growing company! Objective Efficiently operate, load, and troubleshoot tapping machines to maintain production standards.

Essential Functions Machine Operation:

Manage up to four tapping machines simultaneously during an 8-hour shift.

Material Handling:

Use cranes and tow motors to transport bins, load hoppers, and manage chip recycling.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

Clear jams, perform minor fault repairs, change taps, and refill tapping oil.

Quality Control:

Perform part inspections using thread gages and go/no-go gages to ensure specifications are met.

Documentation:

Utilize production software and weigh scales to process completed inventory.

Sanitation:

Clean machine beds and catch bins according to the maintenance schedule.

Requirements & Skills Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Skills:

Basic math proficiency; ability to read, write, and follow technical work instructions.

Experience:

Previous manufacturing experience preferred (fasteners/tapping and use of calipers/micrometers is a plus).

Environment:

Must be comfortable working in oily conditions.

Training:

Ability to complete a 90-day introductory training period. Qualified candidates must be willing to submit to a drug screen and background.

Compensation / Pay
