Job Description

At M&M Industries, we take pride in creating high-quality plastic packaging solutions that make a difference in everyday life. Our success starts with the people who keep our operations efficient and sustainable. The Grinder plays an important role in supporting production by recycling rejected or outdated materials, ensuring that excess plastic is properly processed and reused through our industrial grinding system. The Grinder is responsible for recycling rejected materials from the production line and processing outdated products using an industrial grinder. This role involves manually loading pails and lids onto the grinder's conveyor belt to ensure materials are properly broken down and reused in alignment with company quality and sustainability standards.
Schedule:
A/C Shift, 6:45AM-7PM, 3-3-2 rotating schedule with every other weekend off.
Key Responsibilities:
Follows safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Checks pails and lids for foreign objects before placing them into the grinder. Loads all non-conforming material into the grinder to be recycled. Operates the grinder using control panel. Assembles cardboard gaylords with plastic liners to put regrind material in. Pulls full gaylords, places cardboard trays on gaylords, and seals gaylords with tape. Maintains a clean and organized work area in accordance with the 5S principles. Performs all other duties as assigned. Competencies (Knowledge/Skills/Abilities): Strong hand-eye coordination. Able to use a pallet jack or forklift (training provided).
Education:
High school diploma or G.E.D. (required)
Experience:
None required.
Physical Job Requirements:
Able to lift and carry a minimum of 45-50 pounds repetitively. Able to keep hands steady during work. Able to stand, walk, and climb steps frequently. All work is performed in a manufacturing environment which may be hot/cold and requires the use of PPE at all times (eyeglasses and double hearing protection consisting of ear plugs and ear muffs) Work is performed in a high noise level area.
