Plating Operator

American Ring is seeking a First Shift Plating/Cleaning Cell Operator at our Massillon, Ohio Facility. The Plating/Cleaning Cell Operator is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the plating and cleaning lines to ensure the quality and consistency of all parts are to print. This role includes chemical analysis, tank maintenance, filtration monitoring, and adherence to safety and environmental standards to support efficient production operations. The desired candidate will have prior experience with plating processes.

Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for operating plating equipment per procedures. 2. Responsible for producing product that meets customer requirements. 3. Responsible for maintaining labor, yield and material efficiency standards. 4. Responsible for conservation practices per procedures. 5. Responsible for adhering to all solution transfer and dump procedures. 6. Responsible for selecting proper equipment. 7. Responsible for maintaining plating tanks per procedure. 8. Responsible for reviewing & following customer's quality plan. 9. Responsible for reviewing & following process operation sheets & work instructions. 10. Responsible for ensuring that all pertinent paperwork, labels & tickets are kept with the job for the duration of the job per procedure. 11. Responsible for following all preventive maintenance procedures and schedules and focusing on prevention. 12. Responsible for arriving to work & departing on time. 13. Responsible for maintaining a clean, neat, and safe work area. 14. Responsible for wearing the proper personal protection equipment for the job

Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED minimum required. Preferred previous plating experience. Knowledge of hazardous material handling and chemical solution maintenance. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Pay:

$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
